Art Nouveau Vase Lunéville in the style of Keller and Guérin. H 29 cm. Good condition.

  

Sumptuous vase in the style of Keller and Guerin, artisans of Lunéville earthenware around 1900 (Art Nouveau), hand-painted, a vase with extreme oriental inspiration dating from the early 20th century. Colorful peonies on a black background cover most of the vase, while the remaining part features a representation reminiscent of a "Japanese print" within an oval of sumptuous turquoise green.

Hand-painted medallion with grisaille on a turquoise background depicting a lakeside and forest scene, surrounded by floral decorations printed and enhanced by hand on a black background. Slightly raised enamel on the petals. A vase of great beauty and originality. The entire vase is glazed. The entire interior of the vase features this turquoise color. No signature, but in the style of Keller and Guerin, the famous artisans of Lunéville earthenware. Diameter of the neck: 12 cm. On the front part, at the base, there is a chip (missing piece) of about 1 cm x 0.5 cm (see photo). The defect goes unnoticed from a distance of less than one meter.

The gilded edges have faded a bit over time but remain present. Wear consistent with age and use.
