Art Nouveau Lunéville vase in the style of Keller and Guérin. H 29 cm. Good condition.

  

Sumptuous vase in the style of Keller and Guerin, artisans of the faience of Lunéville around 1900 (Art Nouveau), hand-painted vase of extreme oriental inspiration dating from the early 20th century. Colorful peonies on a black background, on most of the vase, and on the remaining part a representation of a "Japanese print" in a sumptuous turquoise oval. Hand-painted medallion with grisailles on a turquoise background representing a lake and forest design, around printed flower decorations hand-enhanced on a black background. Enamel in slight relief on the petals.

A vase of great beauty and originality. Varnished vase in its entirety. The entire interior of the vase is this turquoise color. No signature, but in the style of Keller and Guerin, famous artisans of the faience of Lunéville. Diameter at widest point: 19 cm. On the front part, at the base, there is a chip (missing piece) of about 1 cm X 0.5 cm (see photo). The defect goes unnoticed from less than a meter away. The gilding has faded slightly over time, but remains present.
